Water Reaches Rual Community in Grenada for the first time...

Residents of Tuilleries, St. Andrew, are now receiving treated pipe- borne water for the first time ever, following the intervention of parliamentary representative for the area, Hon. Sylvester Quarless.

Under a project with the National Water and Sewerage Authority (NAWASA), more than 60 persons from 14 households now have access to clean potable water for domestic use.

“There is no way any of our citizens should have been living under such conditions for so long,” said Hon. Quarless, who is also Minister for Social Development. “They are constituents and as a result, they deserve to have an affordable, consistent and reliable supply of water. It is my duty as MP to assist them and I am more than happy to do so.”

Mr. Quarless, MP for St. Andrew South-West, said he will be looking at such problems not only in his constituency but also islandwide.
